Progress!
Hi everyone! Here are some updates on what's happening with the Rice Boy book:
- The books will be in production on May 30, and should be here in AUGUST 2011. As that date becomes more specific, I'll let you know. They're being produced in Hong Kong, hence the long turnaround. The printer we've settled on for the books has done work with bigger, more serious comics publishers than myself, and I'm super excited to see the books!!
- The Portrait mini-posters are on their way to me much sooner, and will probably be sent out to YOU before anything else.
- We went significantly over goal, as you probably noticed. Around $11,000 of it is going into book production (2000 total copies), a chunk of what remains is going into shipping and Kickstarter incentives, and the rest will go into the Order of Tales one-volume edition... more on that later.
- I will be sending you all private messages very soon to get your addresses, so that items can be sent to you. ALSO, a link to the PDF of the Rice Boy book is forthcoming, as soon as I can figure out an elegant way to get such a huge file to a bunch of people.

i'm assuming the pdf would be kinda killer in terms of size. I wouldn't mind having to download a split archive or anything like that. Have you also considered using a cloud to help with the storage? I wonder if Kickstarter has any deals you could make with Amazon Cloud Services considering they (meaning Kickstarter and Amazon) are partnered...
