All domestic orders are out the door and should be received within the week. The remainder of International orders will go out next week, the week of November 13.

I really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with how long this has been taking me. Numerous setbacks and some planning problems have been cause for that, and I have learned from this experience to make preorders more streamlined in future!! I'm starting the Order of Tales one-volume kickstarter as soon as I can get a video together, so I'm excited abou that!

I'm very happy to hear back from so many people who have gotten their books and enjoy them. Thanks so much, everyone!!!

Books arrived on Wednesday: all 4300 pounds of them, 200 hardcovers (in the 25 smaller boxes in the foreground of this image) and 1800 paperbacks (in the 100-something boxes in the background). Moving them all into the storage unit was very difficult.

What's happening now: I'm in the process of preparing and sending out all the Kickstarter incentives and book preorders. I have received MOST of the addresses of the backers and will send private messages to those from whom I haven't received them. I will put up further updates letting everybody know my progress in sending everything out; it will be a tedious process but hopefully not a very long one.

For people who did not back the Kickstarter project and are interested in the book, it will be finally available again on the rice-boy.com store in about a week.

Ok everybody, ok!

The link to the PDF for everybody who donated more than 5 USD is forthcoming today; please let me know if you were one of the ones who has donated over 5 and haven't received it by Friday.

The other incentives, I've decided, will all go out at once, shipped in a bundle with the book preorders. Backers who are receiving physical incentives should be receiving a message asking for their addresses: the items will be shipped to the address you supply me with, not to the address associated with your Kickstarter account (unless they are the same of course).

The Rice Boy books are arriving around the end of August, any customs setbacks notwithstanding. I will be attending SPX in September, and that will be their debut to the world at large, but I should be able to get the Kickstarter preorders out the door and on their way to you before then.

I've rented storage space for these things: this will be over 2 tons of books, and will fill the space of a cube 5 feet to a side. Whoa! These books are gorgeous, even the paperbacks; easily the most finely-produced physical item I have had any part in making. Thanks for your patience, they are almost here.

Got a pile of proof stuff today, including: a few pages of the book offset printed as the final run will be printed (the color is really really excellent; sharper and with better coverage than the previous edition), and a proof of the board/cloth that the hardcovers will have.
