About this project
Our band, The Deadly Syndrome, has released two albums so far. The first one was called "The Ortolan," which came out in 2007. The second one is titled "Nolens Volens," and it came out in March of this year.
We've always wanted to release our music on vinyl. It's a great format that you can hold in your hands, and it's a truly warm and organic way to experience recorded music. And let's face it: 12" record sleeves are just really, really, cool looking.
Unfortunately, vinyl is costly. So, without being sure of demand, it has never made sense to press full-length LP vinyls of our music. Until now!
With Kickstarter, we can essentially gauge demand before we press a single record. If you want to own "Nolens Volens" on vinyl -- or if you just stumbled on this project, have no idea what our band sounds like, but really feel like giving us a buck to create something fun -- help us out. We'll be grateful.
If you pledge $20 or more, you'll automatically receive a signed copy of Nolens Volens on vinyl. If you pledge $50 or more, you'll get the signed vinyl, plus a free test vinyl pressing from United Record Pressing (kind of awesome!), as well as a limited edition, hand-screened 11x15 poster.
