About this project
My band, ET Collective, has been invited to perform at this year's Monterey Jazz Festival in September. We're really excited and humbled about this opportunity to perform at one of the best and biggest jazz festivals in the world and in the same lineup as some of our musical heroes like Herbie Hancock, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Poncho Sanchez, Terence Blanchard, and more!

Taking a band of 6 people costs a good deal of money so we're asking for your help so we can make this amazing opportunity become reality.

The total that we're trying to fund, $2500, won't cover the entire cost of our trip, but it will make a huge dent and will allow us to pay for transportation, gas, food, places to stay on the road, and pay for the musicians. In short, your donation can make this tour possible. Remember, we must reach the entire amount in order to receive the funding you commit to.

You'll be our special guest at the Monterey Jazz Festival on Friday, September 16th. You must get yourself to Monterey and plan for your own accommodations. You'll receive grounds admission into the festival on Friday and get to hang out back stage with us during our performance. Plus, you'll get a signed copy of my first album, Kinetic, and a handwritten and signed lead sheet of one of the songs from the album (my choice).

Erik Telford is an up-and-coming trumpeter based in Austin, TX. His debut solo album, Kinetic, was named one of the top 10 jazz albums of 2010 by the Boston Globe and was nominated in the top 40 albums of 2010 by JazzTimes magazine.
His group, Erik Telford Collective (ETC) has performed at clubs and festivals around the country and will be performing at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 2011.
