Corona runtime complete
We've drawn a lot of inspiration from the huge response to the Spine Kickstarter and we've been hard at work. In only a week and a half we've done nine releases to improve Spine, add small features, fix bugs, and improve the runtimes. Tonight we uploaded version 1.0.8 which includes a new Spine runtime for Corona. Now you can easily use Spine animations in your Corona games! Join us tomorrow where we will make a cameo appearance on Corona's Google hangout.
We mean business and are already moving on to the cocos2d and Unity runtimes!
We realize that everyone wants to know what our stretch goals will be, but we want to be sure before making more promises. We can say that our stretch goals will be more runtimes and some useful, evolutionary features. Please stand by for more details (soon!), but in the meantime you can trust that we will do everything we can to make official runtimes available for all the popular game toolkits, as well as help those in the community that want to develop their own.

I just found this project last night and backed it this morning, it is exactly what i was looking for and i really hope this makes it to have game maker support as my 2D game will be made in that engine. Non the less, it is a great idea and i will greatly look forward to learning this program.

@Christian Wisniewski, the runtimes are only available in the full version, which will be sent out when the Kickstarter is over. We wanted to send them out sooner, but Kickstarter doesn't give out any backer information until then. The full version is available right now on our website for people who can't wait, though that is a bit contradictory with the Kickstarter.
1.0.8 is the 9th release because 1.0 was the first release. :) 1.0.9 isn't out yet, we just update the changelog as development progresses.

Nice. Is there any way to try it out now as a backer or do we have to wait? Can't find the current ninth release. o.o
Creator Craig Hinrichs on February 4
YES! I can't wait for the cocos2d implementation! I personally want it for my cocos2d 2.1 version. Can't wait!
Creator Matt Murray on February 2
Sweet, can't wait to implement this into my new Cocos2d game!
Creator Rob Clemmons Jr. on February 2
All righty thanks!
Creator Esoteric Software on February 2
@Rob Clemmons Jr, you can do that by switching the image that is displayed. You can use non-uniform scaling until just before the image would looked squished, then swap the image for the new perspective and repeat. This keeps the animation smooth, which is something raster animation can't do. Likely you'd only need 2-3 coin images with different perspectives.

Are there any plans to add a feature that would allow us to spin an object like a coin around?
Creator JK on February 2
Looking forward to Unity support! Hope it is next!
Creator Niklas Wahrman on February 2
Awesome! Looking forward to the Cocos2d implementation, as that seems to be lacking for Spriter (which also got delayed).
