How to Make a Sunprint with Erin Lale, the world's most prominent contemporary sunprint artist.
My sunprint Las Vegas Skyline with UFO is in the permanent collection of the Hammargren Home of Nevada History, a private museum. My sunprint art is referenced 3 times in the Wikipedia definition of "sun printing", including links to the eBay Guide to Sunprint Art, which is illustrated with my work, and an article in the Nov. This DVD releases Nov. 15th, in a short run. Having a short manufacturing run means I can only go after second tier distribution channels like my own eBay Store, Magicalrealist Gallery, fiber art hobbyist catalogs, small independent art supply stores, and art schools. With a larger manufacturing run, I could go after big box retailers like Joann Fabrics and Michael's Crafts, and big online retailers like Dharma Trading.
I want to raise a total of $2,000, including $1,000 for manufacturing and $1,000 for promotions. Promotions include ads and press kits, and also includes the rewards offered to kickstart pledgers.
Rewards:
Every pledge of $5 receives a copy of the finished DVD, which will retail for $19.99.
Every pledge of $100 receives the DVD plus an unframed sunprint of any size up to 20" x 20", your choice from available works or a custom work.
Every pledge of $500 receives the DVD plus a custom unframed "giant circle" sunprint.

I was not able to embed How to Make a Sunprint here; it's in DVD format, and apparently either the Upload Pitch Video button can't handle that format, or else at 55 minutes running time, it's too long. So I am providing a link to Rain Dance on youtube as a free sample (obviously, I am not going to upload the sunprint video on a public video host site where the whole world could watch it for free.)

When I served on the Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Advisory Board, I successfully blocked a move by the DMV to deny driver's licenses to people who had used "any counseling services", including marriage counseling. I stood up for civil rights and common sense. Seeing that at the time (turn of the millenium) 90% of women inpatients in Nevada's mental hospitals had been past victims of rape and / or childhood sexual abuse, I stood up for the physical and psychological safety of women by successfully influencing mental hospital design to provide separate areas for male and female inpatients.
