Update #7: BOOK FINAL UPDATE!
Yesterday I got the books from the self publisher. Good News is I LOVED the cover but there is problems with quite a few of the pages and how they printed them. So they are going back in the mail today to them and I have to push the release date back at least a month. To be safe I am setting it for June19th in case there are any more problems. Other Good News is I am now getting a discount so the money that is being credited is going to Charity.
For Fun I would like all the backers this time to submit a charity for consideration. I will post them on my website ericwalker.net and we can do a poll. The winning charity will receive the extra cash. Also in case you have not heard, I have reopened the extras and pledging on my site using paypal. This was because there were a lot of people who missed this kickstarter project and emailed me asking if it could be done, so your wish has happened. So go over to my website and click the banner if you still want to be a part of it. I will close it at the end of May so there is still a lot of time to become a part of it, so if you have friends that missed this opportunity, spread the word!
O.M.

Update #6: Ewok CD-ROM and Making of Teaser
Update #5: Final Review and Off To Be Published!
I recently got an excited email from one of the backers and I wanted to give everyone an update. The book is in the final review with the editor so it has taken slightly longer than I would have liked. Yet, we are still moving farther along and it is turning out better than I had hoped. It is truly turning into a real behind the scenes story and includes a day by day breakdown which includes the dates we filmed most of the scenes and what went down each day. Just like any movie making experience stuff happens that is magical and sometimes drama filled.
Should it take longer for the book to come back from the editor and the small publishing run and we are not able to get out by the Xmas holidays. I have decided to release some of the extras like the Making of DVD, the behind the scenes pictures including a digital copy of the book via electronic delivery on the internet so everyone will have something to enjoy for the holiday until the book is able to be shipped with the extras. I will keep everyone posted and Thanks Eddie for your excitement!

You're welcome, Eric!!! And you bet that I am excited!!! This will be the first book detailing the events surrounding the making of the Ewok movies!!!! Great you'd like to make some of the stuff available through the Internet if the Holidays date is not met, but I won't use that resource: there's nothing like getting a package and holding the actual book! My wife already knows that when it arrives, I will turn in early that night and read it from cover to cover!!!

Thanks for update Eric. Don't worry too much about the delay - even the large projects have some slippage I'm just so pleased that you've had the perseverance to see this self published book through to the end. Really admire that, and yet sure I'm looking forward to reading it. I recently bought the 2 DVD set for a nephew of mine who is also a big SW fan. As a 12 yr old he'd never seen or even heard of the Ewok movies. I'll definately let him read the book when it arrives. Best wishes.

Update #4: Progress Update!
Hi Everyone. I wanted to do an update to all the backers on the progress of the project. I have been hard at work not only getting the book's final draft done. But I went back into my archives recently and discovered a lot of exciting gems. They include not only more pictures but also newspaper reviews, magazine clippings, screening tickets, cast and crew shirts and more all scanned and put on the cd-rom portion of the project.
The DVD will have actual commercials that ran on ABC television before it was released in 1984 and I will also include my original audition monologue that I did which got me the part of Mace Towani after Mr. Lucas saw it.
I am still on schedule for a release in late November or early December so everyone can enjoy it for the holidays. The release party is still being scheduled and one backer suggested we have it at Celebration VI. Not sure that is possible but let's try to make it happen! I will keep those backers posted on it and let you all know as soon as I do if that is possible.
Thanks,
O.M.

Update #3: NEWS FLASH! WE ARE A GO!!!
It's official! The project is a go and we are currently at 102%. Thank you to everyone who has given a pledge. For those who haven't already had the chance don't worry as you can still pledge to get the collectible items listed as rewards up until August 5th.
The more that comes in will help us just make it a nicer looking book with a more beautiful book cover. I also plan on taking any extra money left over and donating it to charity. I already have charities I donate to with the extra money I have left over from Conventions after expenses in the past as some of you know. Because I am there to meet and greet fans! But I want it this time to come from your suggestions. So in the coming weeks we will ask for suggestions from those who have pledged. The Force is with this project for sure!
A special thank you to Chris Wyman, Jay Shepard, JMac and Jason at the ForceCast.Net, Mr. Sansweet, and Justin and Bryan and the NSFW crew. Also to anyone spreading the word who are nameless but cared enough to contribute without the glory. The Star Wars Fans have spoken!
O.M. (Original Mace) aka Star Wars 1st Mace.

Eric Walker’s career began in the early eighties in acting. He is most well known for the two movies he starred in as Mace Towani for George Lucas in the Star Wars spin off known as The Ewok Adventures.
He attended the Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts alongside such well-known entertainers as Josh Grobin, Fergie, Corbin Bleu, Anthony Anderson to name a few. He studied acting in Hollywood with veteran actor Virgil Frye with other fellow actors such as Noah Hathaway and Barrett Oliver from The Neverending Story, and Sean Penn as well as Corey Feldman. He has appeared in several TV serials (Webster), movies (Little Spies, She’s out of control, Less than Zero) and numerous commercial spots (like Jack in the Box to name one).
Eric later wrote all the instrumental music for an award winning documentary that he Directed and Edited entitled, “God ‘s Leading Through The Generations”. Now with the inspiration of his wife Nhu Tran, his many trips to Vietnam, and a wealth of meaningful artistic and real world life experiences under his belt, Eric has decided to release his first complete music CD entitled: “Tangier Dream”. On Tangier Dream Eric wrote a tribute song to his Star Wars days entitled "Return to Endor."
