Eric Reitz is a Virginia-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist working on his second studio album. Like a lot of children, Eric's earlier musical pursuits were aimed at the piano (based mostly on the desires of his parents). Even though he gave it two separate attempts, Eric didn't quite take to the instrument. While practicing the piano he would dream about the guitar and all of the "awesomeness" it embodied. And so, after wearing down his parents and casting off the piano, he rented a lightning bolt-inspired black guitar and began to shred (sort of). Guitar in hand, Eric started to take lessons at the local music shop. Like many realities born from dreams, his perception didn't quite live up to the fantasy, and he quit. In fact, he quit twice (with just a few months in between each departure). A few years went by and Eric saw an acoustic guitar propped up against the wall in his brother's room and decided to give it another try. This time the bond between instrument and young man was a little different. From that point Eric dedicated his time to practicing the guitar (and throwing in some vocals) and performing for whomever would listen. In the fall of 2009 he recorded his first self-produced album, 12 (South). Now, armed with new songs, he looks to you for help making his second album.
