Notes from 11th Sprint Meeting
Steering slightly off-topic, I'm thinking how nice it would be to launch the game by December 16; because on that date exactly 62 years ago, on a bitter-cold winter morning in 1944, World War 2’s Battle of the Bulge commenced amidst a turbulent snowstorm on the Western Front when the Germans attacked the Allied troops with an enormous artillery barrage.
It would be particularly meaningful and appropriate to release Bulge on the same timeline (plus *wink* it wouldn’t hurt sales when that period nicely coincides with the joyous Christmas season).
A December launch would be ideal but the date can’t be set-in-stone, mostly due to external factors like the quality consistency of Wawa’s Pumpkin Spice coffee and getting the green light from Apple’s App Store because all applications developed for the iPad are subjected to approval by Apple.
Speaking of Apple, and digressing even further away, despite my insanely packed schedule, I took 5 minutes out to read ‘How the iPad Changed 2010’ which lead me through a fond, nostalgic trip down golden memory lane, and it was one of those moments where you suddenly deeply appreciate the remarkable contributions made by the late Steve Jobs (what an understatement!).
Back on-topic, we had our 11th Sprint meeting yesterday where at least 20 units of caffeine were consumed while we discussed and reflected on our performance and progress over the past 3 weeks, and made plans for the next 3 weeks.
I can’t delve into the specifics of our discussion here but the highlights were:
1) Bugs are now the anomaly
2) Our App icon has a new, improved look – it looks rather poignant, in my humblest opinion
3) Miguel is doing something incredibly exciting with the AI
But how can we ever launch the game when each time I think Bulge couldn’t be better, someone then casually suggests something, someone else implements it, and then the game becomes even better.
To this, Eric says: A game is never finished; it is only published.

Thanks for the correction, Phil!

There are even more similarities:
- "unternehmen wacht am rhein" was conceived mucht earlier; so was this game.
- "unternehmen wacht am rhein" was postphoned serveral times; so was this game.
- "unternehmen wacht am rhein" had a backupplan; this game also has el alamein.
- "unternehmen wacht am rhein" started (officially) on the 16th of december; so will this game.
I'm not a conspiracy thinker, but if i'll think a bit longer, more simularaties will probably occur.
Keep up the good work!
I can't wait to play the game, and i'll hope you'll sell a lot more in the appstore!

I think you added where you should have subtracted, or something: Bulge was sixty-EIGHT years ago, not 62. (I know because I was born in September '44, and I just celebrated my 68th birthday.)
P.S.: I can hardly wait for the release!!!!
