About this project
I wish to return to Iraq and not only see how I will react to being in the war zone again but to interview soldiers there who may have had PTSD issues upon return from a previous tour. I also want to speak to soldiers on their first tour to get their perspective on what they think may happen when they return home.
I plan to be embedded as a reporter, hopefully in Mosul where I was the first tour.
The money will cover an HD camera for filming each interview. The US Forces requires each reporter have a vest and helmet (already have the helmet) and a round trip ticket to and from Kuwait. Incidentals such as SD cards, basic supplies, and personal necessities are included in the total.
