Update #11: 15 days to go! A challanging week...
Hello All,
This week has been hectic in the household and family...not going into too many details but one family member was in the hospital and I was involved in a minor car accident...so needless to say while the Kickstarter and the End DVD are important to me, these things were more important to tend to .
Sorry to start the latest update with a downer haha but i am happy to report everyone is ok now and on that note we can start to push forward on the final stretch to hopefully get this funded! We are very close now to 1500, so we need 3550 to go.
I want to send some congrats to some of the projects I decided to back that they have all reached their goals! The Solomon Grundy project, Great "Kinks" themed doc Do It Again, The Way We Get By (if you haven't seen this movie do it soon!!), Weapons of Mass Creation Fest (gotta represent some fellow Cleveland projects), and the Gary King film all reached their goals shortly before the deadline...so hopefully we can equal those success stories in the same fashion.
I was hoping to upload some more video for you to enjoy but since I havent been able to drive down the the editing suite in Akron, I cannot at this time but I promise before the 15 days are up some new footage for all to enjoy.
So until next time, I thank you for your support and wish you all a great wkd!
Sincerely,
Mike Wendt
Update #10: 23 days to go! And what some people are saying about the film!
Hey all!
Going in the home stretch, I cannot thank you all enough for your very kind pledges. Momentum at this point is not at our highest but I still think we can pull this off! Anyway while we head into the wkd, I feel I'd share some of the reviews and e-mails we received on the movie so feel free to pass on to anyone who might be interested in the movie!
The Cleveland Plain Dealer gave us a B and said "It has a big heart -- one that loved rock 'n' roll even if it ended up getting bruised in the end."
Cleveland Scene gave us 3 stars (very good) and said "Uses funky graphics and period music to bind the stream-of-consciousness narrative into a cohesive piece that works brilliantly..."
John Gorman, former Program Director of the legendary WMMS and author of the book "The Buzzard" said "A fine documentary and representation of that station's venture into its alternative music format. It captures the emotion of that time."
Bill Ross, Co-Director of the Award-Winning Documentary 45365 said "Brought back many fond memories of my youth...This was a story that should have been told.."
Thanks again for all your support! And will update very soon!
Sincerely,
The End of the World As We Knew It Team

Update #7: CIFF week and we've almost hit $1,000!
Update #6: Almost 2 weeks down, month and a half to go! CIFF coming up this week!
Update #5: First 3 minutes of the film!
Hey everyone! We've had a really good week here on our page. So we are sure there are many people who were not able to make showings at the Cinematheque, Cleveland International Film Festival, ect. So we decided post the first 3 minutes of the film, which features Maria Farina. I think this gives a good idea of the tone we decided to go with the film, that is one of fun and joy! Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch...
Please pass along!!
Thanks!
