 We would like to offer you advance copies of Aokigahara (on MILKY WHITE VINYL--YUM or on CD) in exchange for help in sending us on tour and to promote this release. 

This kickstarter is like a pre-order but with more opportunities for people to obtain handmade artwork (http://resentthatdiscontent.blogspot.com/) , personal items, limited first edition copies as well as a chance to build a relationship with the band in the sense that you will always be first on the list when it comes to free songs and promo stuff. Among the rewards you will see some limited prints of the original artworks from "Year of Spring," these are just for this Kickstarter and will not be sold on my blog or anywhere else. By contributing to this kickstarter you will be sent free downloads to singles and remixes as they come out in relation to this record. We are sitting on a few b-sides and have plans to release those later in the year. When they come out you will be the first to know and will get them for free.

I'm resurrecting the Nocturnes with a new healthy line up, and a new album recorded and produced by the Nocturnes and the marvelous Marty Rifkin. We are officially putting this album out on August 30th but are offering it, as well as some limited items, to you guys ahead of time in order to raise funds for us to tour and funds to help us promote and repress the record.

We already have the first edition of 250 fresh copies of this album on white vinyl and on regular cd ready to hit your mailbox. The packaging for both the cd and the vinyl is simple: a record/cd in a full color sleeve or jacket. 

There will be no waiting time while the record gets made or anything like that- all the rewards are here and ready to go once the project gets funded which means records and art ship the day after the project clears.  If you pledge, you get sent the download right away- so you get the digital copy whether or not the project gets funded. 

Contribute to this kickstarter at any level and you will be sent a link to a sendspace where you can download the full album THE NEXT DAY... not after the kickstarter ends - but the day after you pledge. This means no waiting to hear the whole album. Once this kickstarter ends the album will not be available again until after the release date in August. 

$2000 will cover the cost of having pressed this record and will be a start to getting us on the road but we are hoping to far surpass the funding goal so that we can pay for proper merch and repressing.

NOTES ON ARTWORK REWARDS:

We WANT you to be able to afford the artwork rewards!!! If you are interested in a piece but would like it unframed or would like to pick it up in person- YOU CAN HAVE IT FOR LESS.

EXAMPLE 1: 

1) You would like to have "Mark (1)" but can't afford $100. 

2) contact me through kickstarter or via email ( emmaruthrundle@gmail.com) about the piece and we can work out a fair or more affordable price for the piece unframed.

3) You could then pledge $5 for the "digital download reward"  (or the vinyl, or any other reward you want) plus the agreed upon amount for "Mark (1)" - message me and I will check the piece off as sold. 

EXAMPLE 2:

1) You would like "the Hanged Woman" but don't want to pay $400 and you live in the Los Angeles area.

2) contact me through kickstarter or via email ( emmaruthrundle@gmail.com) about the piece and we can work out a fair or more affordable price for the piece because you can pick it up!

3) You would then pledge $5 for the "digital download reward" (or the vinyl, or any other reward you want) plus the agreed upon amount- message me and I will check the piece off as sold.
