THRILLED to announce that "Crossing the River" will screen in the competition shorts section at Dances With Films at the famous Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 1st at 2:45 pm! This is a very exciting festival and I humbly hope I will be able to attend.
Any of you that are based in or will be in Los Angeles at that time, I hope you can come! If I am there I will organize a pre or post screening meet-up, and there will be a Q&A at the screening as well.
Thank y'all for everything...
Love,
Emilie
One more update: just received the news that my interview with WKCR 89.9 FM NY will air tomorrow night, Tuesday April 30th from 9:30-10 pm EST. You can either tune into 89.9 or stream it live from the top right corner of the WKCR website.
If you listen, let me know what you think! Very first radio interview!!

Emilie

Hi folks,
Have several things to share.
Once again, "Crossing the River" will screen at WAMMFest (Women and Minorities in Media) this Tuesday night, April 9th in the 7-9:30 pm slot. I will be in the house along with Associate Producer Carolyn Mohan and my dear aunt Jackie. Tickets are free and available here.
We received news that "Crossing the River" got through the audience choice screenings at the NYC Downtown Short Film Festival and is an official selection for the festival this month! The screening will be on Wednesday, April 24th at 8 pm and the info is here. Tickets are $10 if booked online with code DUO and $15 at the door.
Another NYC screening is also in the works and I will keep you posted.
Last week, I did my first radio interview for WKCR 89.9 FM in NYC, one of my absolute favorite stations, to talk about the film and some other things. It was very exciting! I am not sure exactly when the show will air, but my guess is it will be this Friday April 12th at 9 pm. There will be a link to listen to it later so I will forward on at some point.
Also, this Wednesday I will be a panelist at the NYC Film and Finance Forum, from 7-10 pm at AlleyNYC, speaking about my experiences crowdfunding. Again, another first.
All these events are converging this month after a few months of quiet. And none of them would be happening if it weren't for all of you. Thank you again for your belief in the project. I cannot wait to share it with you, VERY soon!
Love,
Emilie
p.s. I have been gathering rewards and will be in touch about them.
