...:::Sultry String Folk:::... American singer and multi-instrumentalist Emerald Rae embarks on her newest project... a one woman show.
Recording an album is always a huge undertaking, and I am so grateful to Kickstarter for providing a fundraising platform for artists such as myself. I am also pre-indebted to those of you who will contribute! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Funds raised through Kickstarter will go towards recording, mixing, mastering, photography, graphics and finally manufacturing. All of this should cost around $3500. Any extra money above that amount will go towards a publicity campaign set for 2013.
To keep costs low for us all, I'm going to record the entire album in two days! My recording engineer and dear friend, Matt Malikowski of Dimension Sound Studios, is a dream to work with and certainly knows how to work some magic in the studio.
I'm also really looking forward to working on the artwork! Grace Van't Hof of Quoobie Creative, is a wonderful graphic artist and plays a mean banjo. She has graciously agreed to do the photography as well, since the CD artwork is going to be less "graphics" and more "art project". I'm so excited, but I won't tell you anything else! You'll have to wait and see...
