emberghost's new album; a retrospective tribute to its fans, its community, and the life of its departed co-vocalist Sarah Jennings.
Not Long for This Earth, pt. I, will consist of 5 emberghost favorites arranged and recorded with the exclusive use of voices, acoustic guitars, piano, strings (violin, viola, cello), percussion, and other non-electric instruments. The voice of our dearly departed co-vocalist and keyboardist Sarah Jennings will be featured throughout the recording.
Additional album tracks will feature certain songs' isolated strings recordings; others will be alternate versions altogether.
The album's liner notes will feature each song's lyrics and the inspiration behind them, original art and design work from Parker and designer Nare Ovsepian, and photography by Lindsey Grace Whiddon, who directed, edited, and co-produced the fundraising video.
Under the creative direction of emberghost frontman and founder Daineal Parker and from I Fell in Love with the Sound of Their Voices producer Rob Daiker, the NLFTE album will be a collaboration with emberghost alum including bassist Daniel Alden and former guitarist and Ugly Colors frontman Daniel Harbold. Additional contributors will include, but are not limited to, Kristen Randall, former keyboardist and vocalist for Winds of Plague and Abigail Williams, as well Amanda Gates Armstrong, Asst. Concertmaster for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, who is composing and directing the string section.
