Kickstarter

Hi everyone! This CD is the fruition of years of songwriting and a great deal of collaboration with awesome musicians, and I am very excited to finally put something concrete together out of all that. 

The goal of this Kickstarter project is to fund the mixing, mastering, and distribution of a CD of modest length which will be available in the form of hard copies and digital download.

I am a college student, a guitarist, and a songwriter. Some of you may have seen me play before, but I know a lot of you haven't as well, so I'll try to tell you a little bit about my music. At its core, it's just me and my guitar, but it's a lot more than that. Some of it is acoustic and some of it is electric, some of it involves a lot of people other than myself, and some of it is pretty stripped down. I always have trouble succinctly explaining my music in a few words, but I think of it mostly as an eclectic blend of blues-jazz with folk and cabaret. 

Irony. Humor. Wit. Poetry. Intensity. Energy. Melodrama. These are the words that I would use to describe my music. My strongest influences include Beck, Cake, Morphine, Manu Chao, and Puerto Muerto. 

I am really excited about making something this personal, and-- I think-- really great, and I am really grateful to everyone who is helping to make this possible! So thank you-- yes, you-- personally for your support! Every little bit that you donate is getting this CD a little bit closer to becoming a reality!
