Brainchildren Record!
Project by Elizabeth Dotson-Westphalen

Hello, good people!
My name's Elizabeth and I write songs.
My band (The Brainchildren) and I are making our first full-length record of my original material, and we need your help! We're doing this on our own, and need to raise money to finish and promote the record.
The record features me on voice and trombone, Jason Domnarski on piano and Rhodes, Rob Jost on acoustic bass, and Robert di Pietro on drums. This summer, we've laid down much of the material, and it sounds amazing! Kind of like Ella Fitzgerald riding a bike in flip flops and a ball gown...
But there is still much to do. Like what? Well, we need to record some more backing vocals, some horns, get it all mixed together like a yummy cake, and master it so it shines. We need artwork, we need to produced the physical CDs and get it out to iTunes and so on... and most importantly, we need to spend $ to promote it! What good is a great CD if no one hears it?
You.... can play an integral part in the making of the record (sorry, not tambourine, it's already taken!). Just select your donation amount and help us reach (or break?!) our goal. In return, we've got some goodies for you....
Thank you, thank you!
Elizabeth!

All of the above... and I'll record a voicemail greeting for you (keep it clean, now).
All of the above... and I'll make a happy birthday video for you or a friend (makes a great gift!).
All of the above... and a batch of cookies sent anywhere in the USA.
All of the above... plus handwritten lyrics to a song of your choice off of the new album.
All of the above... and a 1-hour trombone lesson in New York City (no experience necessary!).
All of the above... and a private duo concert for 20 people (or just you and your sweetie) in New York City.
All of the above, plus following you around with my trombone for a day in NYC, making the sad trombone sound and generally providing comic relief. (See http://www.sadtrombone.com for details.)
