Prototype Update!
Finally, an update with real photos and video! (Not just the 3D renderings!)
The prototypes are in production! They'll be shipping very soon! So those of you who are prototype backers, let me know if your address has changed since you filled out the survey.
I'm still working on the "backer portal" where you can manage your orders and update your addresses, and I hope to get it done this week still, but the prototype production will take precedence since I'm a bit late on those already.
Thanks for your patience! I think it will be worth the wait -- there have been a lot of improvements and I'm really excited about the final result. Check out this video overview:

In other news, the official Timelapse+ website is up! Check it out at www.timelapseplus.com . It's now open for preorders starting at $149, with an estimated shipping date of June 15th, 2012.
As I said, I'm still working on the backer portal which will be built upon the web ordering system. One change is that I've decided it's better overall not to try to stock the adaptor cables, but link to an online source. This saves me effort not directly related to the Timelapse+, and saves you money. You'll still receive a cable with your reward, though. If you ordered additional cables, I'll still be able to ship them, but you may wish to change your order to get them directly and save money. This will again be possible through the backer portal when it's up.

Awesome additions, so lloking ofrward to receieving this in June. Love the Look and glad that they production run will be in black ABS. Hope to be able to back future projects.

@Sandy Audio Visual LLC I can see that happening if you where to crank it down tight, But I see no reason to have to have it that tight.
looking at the 2.5mm jacks I wondering if that lip from the window will prevent DIY jacks from fitting in all the way. Maybe something to look into...

Does that 1/4-20 have a metal bottom? Fear of threading in too far and damaging the internal components....

I read on the website that we need to buy ourselves the charger, what kind of charger would that be? What voltage should we use?
Also, approximately how many hours of power does it have?

No, I'm thinking more of a medium gray for the final button color (I agree with it showing dirt). I tried dying the prototype buttons but they didn't come out well.

Nice and I like the red backlight on the display. Have you considered selling Timelapse+ branded lanyards on the website? Nothing better to hold the Timelapse+ around your neck! ^_^

Thanks for the tip -- I haven't checked the website on all platforms yet -- I'll try to fix that. I think I've got some IE issues yet, too. (Oh, how much better the world would be without IE...)

Great news on the prototypes - cant wait to get mine!
Just FYI on the new website: when viewed on an iPad, it seems 'clipped' on the sides. For example, on the main page if you scroll down, the words on the left are all clipped ("urce Firmware", "ity-powered", etc). Pinching the screen to try to reveal more on the left doesn't show more of the words - just blank space.

The prototypes are made from 3D printed (SLS) polymide (Nylon) which is actually quite durable in spite of the playdough-like appearance. :) The final product will be injection-molded with black ABS (a durable hard plastic) with a medium bead-blasted finish.

What type of material is the case made from? I ask because the color is not consistently solid. Looks a bit like playdoh. :)
