OH MIGHTY GALLO!
El Gallo are adult-oriented Mexican and Texican-tales woven carefully with the threads of magical realism. It blends elements of light and dark comedy, with action, romance, music, and drama in order to tackle timely Hispanic-oriented themes in a way that has never been done.
Through thirteen, one hour episodes that will be released in Texas and digitally via the Internet on a monthly basis, El Gallo will follow the interconnected storylines of seven, very peculiar characters. These, range from Pepe, a drunkard, good-for-nothing norteño who happens to be a champion cockfighter, to Harry, a 40-year veteran of the INS whose decadent past haunts his now soon-to-be-retired life.
At the epicenter is none other than Sietecueros, the golden rooster that subliminally grants the wishes of any man that can possess him. Pepe (Ramon Maldonado) is the person who owned the divine rooster for 22 years, until Primo (Jimmy Gonzalez) steals it from him as he laid passed out drunk. This kicks off the story as Pepe travels from Mexico to the U.S. in the search of Sietecueros. Luis (Candelario Palma) becomes Pepe’s loyal sidekick, and together they set off on a quest. Yajaira (Mayra Leal), Harry (Bob Olson), Primo, and Ezequiel (Igor Bastidas) are some of the other important characters who seek out the rooster as well while the enigmatic, and all-knowing Chicken Man (voiced by Juan Colomina), and the timid mariachi Charro-Wannabe (Juan Diaz) become the nemeses of our unlikely hero.
STATUS:
It has been nearly ten months, since the El Gallo team embarked upon our ambitious mission into uncharted waters. Our idea at that point was to create a multichannel experience that could blend film, music, game, print, and live events all for one purpose: to tell a badass story that has never been told before.

This is the minimum amount needed to finish the post-production and production of the first 3 episodes of the El Gallo miniseries--the first trilogy that we expect will help us launch the series, and garner the excitement necessary to finish and deploy the other nine episodes that are left.
The first three episodes will focus in the comedy-action-music packed storylines of Charro, Harry, Yajaira and Primo, as we set the stage for Pepe's journey to the US on the second season.

Our first project El Gallo, is a celebration of the vast inner differences that exist within the huge umbrella we call "Mexico America" and some others just refer to as "hispanics." We hope you can see the necessity for it, and that you come along with us for the ride to enjoy a good story... in the end, that's the main reason why we're writing this paragraph and you're reading it.... we all want to share great stories.
