Community Camera Kits Have Arrived
Thanks to your donation we were able to purchase five camera kits for the community. We are so excited to get these in the hands of residents.
The past month here has been completely amazing. The community has embraced us and the project and we have so much heard positive feedback from residents. Everyday we meet amazing people who are trying to make a difference in their community. The wide-range of stories we have collected are inspiring, fresh and sometimes heartbreaking. We are so excited to share our experience with you when we launch in May.
Next Saturday (June 23) we will be holding our first storytelling workshop where we will train the community how to use these cameras, among other things. The workshop will run from 10 am to 2 pm and aims to rally the community together. Michelle Miller, our workshop coordinator, has put together a great schedule of events for the day. Eric Lovell will be discussing balloon mapping and the rest of us will be conducting skills workshops and storytelling training.
