Dear Backers, Dear Friends,
You may or may not have heard this yet, but here it is officially: I GOT A BOAT!!! I got THE boat!! I'd been looking for the right one for awhile and then, finally and beautifully, one great day I stumbled across the boat of my dreams, the boat I just knew was supposed to take me around the world. Several weeks later (which felt abso-lutely like FOR-EV-ER) the bidding is done, the paperwork is done, she is mine.
So now it's more important than ever that we really push to help me meet my Kickstarter goal. The money has very clear ends now: it will be going toward replacing the leaky decks, to strengthening the mizzen mast in places it needs reinforcing. It will go to re-surfacing the topsides of the boat and generally making improvements boat-wide to get lil darling S/V BOBBIE ready for her big trip. We've got just a under a month to hit the 8K mark, otherwise none of the pledges will turn into real, usable money! Oh dear, what will happen then? clear channel or enron or kfc will sponsor me?? pls dont make me pimp my soul and sticker my boat with logos i ain't about! we CAN do this!
OH! AND, dont forget the most important reason for yall to help me meet my KICKSTARTER goal is THIS IS HOW I GET TO SEND YOU GUYS COOL STUFF!! I really really wanna mail some coconuts and polaroids and tiny little origami sailboats so PWEASEPWEASEPWEASE help me get there! Blog about it, Tweet about it, write your mum about it, TAPE A FLYER ON A RICH DUDE'S HOUSE! ....help me get the word out any way you can!!
