Paolo Campana has a DJ as doppleganger who plays music on vinyl records under the name Dr.No. Born in 1968 in Turin, Italy, where he lives, Paolo graduated with a Bachelors degree in Cinema. He completed his studies at the University of Paris-8 and in Northern Ireland. His first short film on 35mm, a tribute to Bloody Sunday, was presented at the New British Cinema in the Aix en Provence Film Fest in 1997. Paolo has worked for the Italian public broadcaster RAITRE and for McSat (Montecarlo). Vinylmania is Paolo's first full-length film, a testament to the filmmaker's undying passion for music and his sweetheart, vinyl.

Edwin Stepp is a veteran of marketing, sales and public relations with over twenty years of experience in the media industry. In 2001 he helped form Vision Media Productions, an independent production company that specializes in historical documentaries. Got my dvd - in the US - I got a region 0 dvd, which doesn't play on US DVD players. How do I get a US region version. Totally bummed.

DVD and goodies arrived safe & sound this week...the wife is out, so I've just indulged in 75minutes of vinyl record pleasure! The sight of the damp ruined records in the garage is familiar, it's happened to both me and a friend on separate occasions...not losing as many records though.

DEDICATO AGLI ITALIANI:
Abbiamo saputo che molti di voi hanno avuto delle difficoltà ad utilizzare il sistema Kickstarter fino a rinunciarci. Alcuni ci hanno telefonato e scritto dicendoci che “non capivano” oppure che “i passaggi per donare sono troppi” e così via. Bisogna anche dire che l’utilizzo di questo sistema non è così frequente in Italia e quindi non molti tra di noi lo sanno affrontare con spigliatezza.
Ed ecco per voi una breve guida:
1. Una volta qui nella pagina Kickstarter andate sulla colonna di destra e trovate i diversi “tagli” per contribuire. Cliccate su quello che preferite e vi ritrovate su una nuova pagina.
2. Sulla colonna di sinistra cliccate sul pallino a fianco della somma che avete deciso di donare. In fondo alla pagina, sulla stessa colonna, cliccate “continue to next step“ e cambiate così pagina.
3. In questa nuova al centro trovate “new to kickstarter?”. Probabilmente molti di voi sono nuovi e devono qui registrarsi (molto semplice: nome e cognome, indirizzo mail ed una password.) Ora cliccate “sign me up” e procedete.
4. Siamo nel sistema “Amazon” che gestisce i pagamenti e che vi richiede l’ultima registrazione. Fatela. Vi viene richiesto se avete già una password Amazon. Molti di voi di sicuro non ce l’hanno e dunque procedete mettendo la vostra mail e cliccando “I’m a new customer”.
5. Siete nella pagina di registrazione Amazon: reinserite la vostra mail e la vostra password (vi chiederà di introdurla di nuovo) e cliccate su “create account”. A questo punto ci siamo: date il vostro indirizzo e compilate i campi anagrafici.
6. Andate avanti e siete ormai nella pagina dove introdurre gli estremi della vostra carta di credito. Siete diventati un sostenitore!

Riceverete una mail di conferma dove vi si dice che “i vostri soldi sono parcheggiati e vi verranno tolti dalla carta solo se alla fine della campagna, il 10 novembre, avremo raggiunto i $33.000 o più". Se si fallisce, i soldi non si muoveranno dal vostro conto. Il prelievo avviene in dollari e in questi giorni 1 euro vale circa 1,37 dollari. Per cui se investite 50 dollari sono circa 36 euro e 50 centesimi.

E’ sufficiente che i tuoi tre sottoscrittori ci mandino una mail dove ci sia scritto “è grazie a (nome e indirizzo mail) che abbiamo deciso di sottoscrivere”.
