A record day for Franklin!
Dear backers and prospective backers (so, like, hi everyone),
April 18th was the best funding day since the day I launched the Franklin animation project! A couple of pledges came in after midnight, but even discounting those, this was a record day.
Franklin the Ladies' Cat is 39% funded, and reaching the goal is still going to be a real stretch. Whether we reach the goal or not, please know I'm truly touched by your generosity, interest, and encouragement. Franklin is also excited, but I think for him it's more of a physical thing. I'm just being honest.
Special thanks to Phil Dynan, a kind stranger who not only backed the project, but also brought in additional people. Phil's running his own campaign for an interesting music project -- please consider supporting it.
I'm blown away by the support from friends and former colleagues. But what about friends of friends of friends? That demo can still be mined. This is industry talk I'm engaging in here. I'm a professional.
Help me even more than you already have by posting my project on Facebook, tweeting it to your followers, and just generally being a nuisance to the rest of the Internet. What are they doing that's so important anyway? Watching cat videos?
To anyone reading this who's NOT a backer yet: Notice how I just said "yet?" That means it's predetermined and you unfortunately have no free will. Sorry. But seriously, please jump in. The world will be (almost imperceptibly) better for it.
Oh, by the way: If the project gets funded, you will get a survey thing where you provide your address to me and so on, so I can send you your rewards. Don't worry about it until then.
