New reward: Sensor up a CITY
I just posted a new reward type: For $10K, Sensor up a CITY. Let's do a big rally to kick it off. We'll come with 100 Air Quality Eggs, run a clinic, do some talks, have an exchange of ideas. Our travel is included to US/Europe. 100 people can take home Eggs: instant critical mass. This is a great way for corporations who want to sponsor this project to get involved to give back to the community or engage their own employees in the movement.
Thanks to @javaun for this idea.
In other news, we just got done doing Egg workshops in London and Amsterdam. You can see pics on the Meetup pages, but a more formal writeup will come soon. About 25 people came and soldered up their own sensor boxes. Another 10 units went to the Antwerp hackspace and 10 to Madrid to Medialab-Prado for future workshops in those cities. These are both cities with enthusiastic communities with important local air quality debates they are passionate about having a voice in.
Everyone who has been spreading the word about this project has been making a huge difference. Any twitter love you can give helps. If you use our hashtag #AirQualityEgg, it doesn't matter how many followers you have.
word.

@edborden I'm a toxicologist and there are some very serious health problems in economically challenged areas - TX, MS, LA, where measuring VOCs and other air born pollutants from Big Oil polluters are quite challenging. Sincere regards, and kindly please reply to bziegler@toxco.net, or call me cell anytime (619-300-1097). Bart
