About this project

Hello friends, old and new!
We are Dylan and Bil. We make up Lost Coves, a band from Brooklyn, NY.
Recently we were struck with a little bit of luck and were invited to play a showcase in Austin, TX for South By Southwest. If not familiar with SXSW, just take a look:

Saw Her Ghost Records, an indie label out of Michigan that specializes in HEAVY music, saw us play in Brooklyn and liked us so much they invited us to play their OFFICIAL showcase during the festival.

So yeah, this is all kinds of awesomeness.
Here we are, a little band out of Brooklyn doing our thing. And all of a sudden there is a label who likes and BELIEVES in us enough to put us on their show to represent them at SXSW.
It was as if all of a sudden all our questions and concerns about life and artistry and what we were REALLY doing were answered with a very clear and real purpose.
But In order to do this though we need to accomplish 3 things...

We need to fund 2 upcoming recording ventures.
We need to make merchandise.
We need to tour.

We need to make the best possible record we can in a very short window of time. This includes recording, mixing and mastering.

We are also prepped to make our 2nd record, which will be released with an accompanying film on DVD.

We also need to drive to Austin, playing in every club or bar or basement we can, continually spreading the word and sounds of Lost coves.

These two things can become costly, especially in this age of rising gas prices. Austin is a long ways away from Brooklyn and in a fully packed van, we're gonna be filling the tank VERY often.
And this is why we are turning to you, friends and listeners.
We are asking you to help us in any way you can. Whether you pledge 10 dollars or 50, everything helps.
