We are an experimental rock band from Colorado. After releasing a 5 song record we plan to put out our debut full length album.

We are Eyes. We started Eyes exactly one year ago on September 17th as a jam band to write some music that was different than what we we're doing at the time. After writing, recording, and releasing an EP completely on our own, we are ready to embark on the next chapter of our band, our first full length record "Dangerous Things."

Dangerous Things is an album about fighting doubt and finding beauty in the struggles that we all face.

Kickstarter is the perfect way for the album to be funded. Since we are an independent band we have no support or funding from any record label. We all work full time jobs but trying to fit in paying for an $8,000 record is out the question for college kids. We appreciate every single cent that comes our way. Even if you can't afford to donate we thank you for taking the time to listen.

So far there are 10 demos recorded for the album, we plan to keep writing and choosing the best content to use when we officially track the record. The current plan is to track and mix the album with Ryan Alexander of the band CIVILIAN. This requires that we travel to Florida in the spring to get the record tracked.

We are excited to put our full effort into this project and get it out to you. We plan on playing more than enough tours once the record is out so that everyone that helped donate to the album can see us play the new songs live.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Many things go into play with making this album happen. Without a label it puts all of the hard work on us.

The biggest challenge we have come across with this project is the aftermath. Once the album is funded and released we want you all to hear the new material live. Our goal is to hit the road in the spring and tour the country. The issue with this is getting a van so that we can get to you. The first step is getting this album out. Once that is done we will still face bigger issues but this is that first big step.

Another risk is what if funding doesn't work? That's one that has had us nervous about funding. IF funding doesn't work then we plan on going on with the record. It will just take a bit longer than expected.

We're more than happy to do the work it's just impossible to do it without any help.
