DUST OF WAR
The Plot
In a post-apocalyptic American Frontier, a lone soldier fends off a brutal warmonger to rescue a girl fated as the savior of humanity. Our hero joins forces with a cynical veteran and a slimy thief to bring the girl to safety, encountering mysterious invaders and traveling showmen along the way.
The Look
Dust of War can be billed as a South Dakota flavored Mad Max, infused with the earthy textures of Dances With Wolves and the stark beauty of Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal. South Dakota’s savagely beautiful landscape will serve as the perfect backdrop to a classic action-adventure picture.
Where we are so far:
As Andrew said above, things are going well. We are in the thick of production and DOW's script has attracted considerable interest allowing us to build up a great cast which includes Tony Todd (known for his roll as Candy Man), Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Hell Boy), Gary Graham, and Bates Wilder.

Your investment
Your backing on kickstarter will help supplement the Road warrior/Indiana Jones-esque chase scene we have planned as the climax of the film. Chase scenes have essentially three universal rules
1: They are cool
2: They are dangerous and
3: They are expensive.
Your funding will be added to our existing budget to help take care of rule "2" and "3" and ensure that rule "1" is a reality.
As stated in the video, your money goes towards pyrotechnics (explosions), stunt drivers, and EMS for the chase scene. Now obviously we don't want to scrimp on emergency medical services, so that means we fund EMS first, stunt drivers second, and pyrotechnics third. So whatever money is left over after drivers and EMS, is our BOOM money.
What this means is the more $ you give the more BOOM you get!
