What a weekend!!
We have just passed the 50% bar in just 13 days. I wasn't expecting that, and I couldn't be more happy and grateful! Huge thanks to all the backers who pledged their best $$, and for all the good people who helped and still helping spreading the word out. Facebooking, tweeting, sending their mail pigeon out, calling their moms. Good job everyone!!
We announced a new cool reward today. My artist friend Shantell Martin donated her talent to this project with a unique collectible art piece.
From London to Tokyo to New York, Shantell has been expanding conventional definitions of drawing and animation to transform visual experience in the design, fashion and music industries. Her dazzling light projections have been featured in iconic spots such as New York’s MOMA, the megaclubs of Tokyo and Russia, and on the enormous screens at Shibuya and Harajuku crossings in Tokyo. She contributed her art for fashion labels such as Adidas and Nike and even casted as herself on the NY TV show Gossip Girl. But beyond that, Shantell is one of the most inspirational persons I have known in my life, with a constant positive attitude, a lovely smile and unconditional kindness, Shantell is a a rare talent in this world.
Based on word associations such as: Funk, Soul, Grooves, Herbie, Rock and many more, Shantell took a 30 minute ride with her pen and notebook, to draw this collectible item. an 8X10 line art piece, limited edition of 27 pieces, printed on glossy archival photo paper. Watch her do her thing....
This drawing is limited to 27 pieces (Shantell's lucky number) and it goes for an affordable pledge value of $33.

We headed to Philadelphia to visit TripleDouble (Tony Larson) and his crew, Duey FM and Master Sinh. Tony had taken us through the streets of Phily on a digging quest to make this mixtape. The result is an incredible hour long mix of breaks, Rock, Funk, Psych, Brazilian and Hip Hop.
