Book publishing update and some more cool collectors added
Hi there,
Here are a few updates on the book publication.
Book publication status
I am still working super hard to make this book even better and more interesting than I planned in the first place. Every day that passes by enables me to get some more interesting collectors on board. The kickstarter campaign gave the project a great boost and now I'm negotiating with a few publishers and traveling around the world (not just the US) to get even more interesting profiles. Patience is key here. The new book due day is during record store day 2014 (April 2014). Rest assured, the book will be amazing.
New collectors added
I decided to extend the reach of Dust & Grooves and took a trip to Japan and the UK in order to profile some really interesting collectors. In the next month I will also be traveling to Portugal to profile Joaquim Paolo, writer "Jazz Covers" and "Funk Covers", published by Taschen.
Japan
Shuya Okino of Kyoto Jazz Massive

DJ Muro

UK
Strictly Kev (DJ Food - Ninja Tunes)

Ollie Teeba ( The Herbaliser - Ninja Tunes)

Mr. Scruff (Ninja Tune)

Dom Servini (Wah Wah Records)

Colleen Murphy (Classic Albums Sundays)

Coming up....
I now have confirmation from some really exciting names in the world of record collecting.
In June I will be visiting Gilles Peterson in London, along with Four Tet and Andy Votel.
Also working on getting Ed Mota, the legendary Brazilian collector from Rio.
Who's next on Dust & Grooves??
In an effort to reach out to some known vinyl collectors, I am now dedcating a page on the Dust & Grooves website to a special poll which will give the readers a chance to determine who will be profiled next. The page is still under construction, but you can have a preview look here.
