Kickstarter

Hello!

We are Devil's Thumb Productions, a small theater company based in Boulder, Colorado, and we have already begun our second season of theater! We are super excited to use Kickstarter to help our effort in raising money for our small theater company. The money we raise will be used to produce three shows: "Talk Radio" by Eric Bogosian, "An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein" by Shel Siverstein and "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead" by Burt V. Royal.

We're currently in rehearsal for the first show of the season which opens on October 28th at The Performance Space at The Wesley Chapel in Boulder. As a company we have begun to grow and are featuring more and more local artists in the Boulder/Denver area (all positions from actors to directors to stage managers and designers). In our current production of "Talk Radio," we are working with 14 theater practitioners and expect this number to expand throughout the rest of the season!

This money will primarily go to the cost of renting venues, paying for the rights to perform the shows, buying sets and costume pieces and props, making copies, printing programs and posters and all of the other advertising costs. Your money will also go into helping reimburse the people we work with for gas and to offer them a stipend for working on the show. This will allow us to hire professionals, people who do this for a living, and will in turn provide a better viewing experience for our audiences. It is also important to us to recognize the commitment, time, and effort of the people working on this project in some monetary way. Paying people to do what they love, that'd be the day!
