We Were There is a documentary theatre play about three Iraq War veterans who all have vastly differing experiences and opinions on the conflict.
The play has received readings at The Dramatists Guild’s Frederick Loewe Room, The Wild Project, the Gene Frankel Theatre and The Brick Theater (as a part of their Graffiti Writers Group).
We Were There was recently accepted into IRT Theatre's 3B Development Series, a series that has featured prominent theatre artists such as Mike Daisey, Reggie Watts, Young Jean Lee, Thomas Bradshaw and Crystal Skillman.
This Kickstarter project is to fund the project's residency at IRT in the first week of September 2012, culminating in public performances on September 6th, September 7th and September 8th.
Of the $900 that this project is seeking: $595 will go towards IRT's space fee, $150 will go towards the actor's stipends and $155 will go towards securing rehearsal space.
