Austin, TX based rock band looks to raise recording funds for a new album.
Shortly after Chase The White Whale, life for each of us in Driver Friendly happened real fast. The constant distraction of everyday life slowly ground the creative output of this band to a halt.
But it occurred to us that there was no reason to stop. We have unfinished business. We have more to still create. We have a lot of fans, friends, and family out there that we owe something to.
We drove across the country to a cabin in North Carolina and stayed there for over two weeks. We were hoping to just write one song, but we ended up writing an entire album! We feel this album is the best material we have ever created. We are extremely excited and proud of how it came out and now it is time to make it come to life.
Our fans have always been the motivating reason to keep on making music and now we really need your help. We need all the support you guys can give us in order to make this album happen. The $5,500 we hope to raise through this Kickstarter will cover the whole of our recording costs, including tracking and mixing the album. With your help we will enter the recording studio with producer Jim Vollentine (Spoon, Old 97s, White Denim, AM Taxi, Trail of Dead) in late August with a release coming before the end of 2011.
