About this project

This is a project to create a free iPhone app for browsing Wikipedia offline. The code will be open source and I'll launch it with a very small set of features. You will be able to select an article (Drug policy of the Netherlands), or group of articles (Netherlands + all pages it links to) and save them for future access. The content will be stored on the phone itself so you will be able to navigate previously saved articles quickly, without an internet connection.

I've looked for an existing app but haven't found one that is free, saves offline and includes full article content (not just a text version). The $99 fundraising goal is to enroll me into the iPhone Developer Program. I'd like to release this software for free without having to pay Apple for the privilege.
