Update #4: Kaki King
To all our amazing new supporters, we salute you! Thank you so much for jumping on the Art Machine train.
We have Huge News to announce today! Kaki King just signed on to be a part of the film. Rock star, composer and all around international music sensation, in February 2006, Kaki was named a “Guitar God” by Rolling Stone Magazine, becoming the first ever female in the history of the publication to make this distinguished list and now she's going to be rocking out with Declan and the Bushwick crazies!
Kaki released her debut album, Everybody Loves You, with Velour Records in 2003, then moved to Epic imprint Red Ink in 2004 for her second album, Legs to Make Us Longer, which she followed up with Until We Felt Red in 2006. The next year, Kaki appeared on albums from Tegan and Sara and the Foo Fighters and contributed to the soundtracks for Into the Wild and August Rush. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for the music she played in Into the Wild, along with Eddie Vedder and Michael Brook. Kaki released her heralded fourth album, Dreaming of Revenge, in March of 2008.
She signed onto the film from Italy where she's on tour with her latest album, Junior, which was released two months ago. We're absolutely thrilled to have Kaki be a part of Art Machine.
Thanks again for your support & stay tuned...

Update #3: Ava Luna & Monogold
Thank you so much for your pledges! Things are continuing to develop nicely and two new bands have signed on to be a part of Art Machine.
The first is Ava Luna. Christopher Weingarten at the Village Voice describes their sound as "hazy, floaty, post-punk grooves, soaring soul harmonies, and classic indie detachment join forces for something beautiful, infectious, and damn-near indescribable." If you aren't already a fan, check them out at: http://www.myspace.com/avalunaband
We also signed on Monogold who The Deli Magazine NYC: Sonic Treats From Your Music Scene voted "The Best Avant Indie Band of 2009". Check out their dreamlike details, falsetto vocals and grand themes at: http://www.myspace.com/monogoldmusic
We're very excited to have these fantastic bands on-board, with more to come.
Thanks again so much for being a part of the project & stay tuned for more...
