Latest word on Episode 4
Hello Backers!
It's been a busy time since I last posted an update. Things have been progressing nicely towards completing the next episode and a lot of it is due to your support!
On Sunday, July 15th we shot the boat segments aboard Scubatyme III for the next episode. We had a group of divers out to do a 3-tank dive: 1 dive on the wreck of the Jim Atria, 1 daytime dive on the wreck of the Ancient Mariner, and 1 night dive on the Ancient Mariner. Thanks to Tania, Randy, Harland, John, Tommy and Jon for being in the dive group and helping make the shoot go well. Thanks to the generosity of you backers, we were able to provide food for everyone too.
Also thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase a couple of mini-cameras for different shooting angles on the boat. This brought the total number of cameras up to 6 - each shooting about 7 hours of footage, so there's a lot of editing to be done!
Coming up this week, we will be interviewing a couple of people who worked on these wrecks to prepare them for sinking. In my preliminary talks with them, they have some great stories to tell, so it should make things interesting for the show. I am also working with a local private boat to go shoot some surface footage of Scubatyme III in action, and arranging for some aerial video as well. Both the surface chase boat and the aerial service have been graciously donated (thanks Nancy and Alex!) and I'm sure they will add another dimension to the show.
That's about it for now. We're going to be quite busy as you can see getting the next episode ready (shooting for an airdate in August). For those of you who pledged at a level that gets your name/company name/logo on the screen during the episode, you need to tell me which you want (if you choose logo, I'll need that too) so it will be available to the editor.
Thanks again everyone and stay tuned for more updates as we progress towards a finished episode!
