Hi, my name is Doug. I'm a singer/songwriter and I live in Hagerstown, MD. I just starting the process of making a new record, my first in 3 years. The new working title is "Living Room". It's to a be a stripped-down, "live" sounding CD - like I'm in your living room - I'm really excited and I hope you will be too. Making a record costs a lot of money. The amounts vary from project to project but, it's a lot. I'm fortunate this time around to be working at home - engineering, producing and, I'm playing most of the instruments myself. My big expenses will lie in mastering (making the songs sound BIG and radio-friendly) and packaging - these are steps in the process that I CAN'T accomplish at home. I have set the funding goal for this project at $2000. According to my calculations, this amount should just about cover the first run of the disc. I have lots of cool rewards planned for all who respond and, I'd for sure rather pay you all in rewards than pay the credit card company in interest.
