Update #14: Chicago Fashion Focus 2011.

Posted on August 1, 2011

Hello and happy Monday everyone!

I have some exciting news that I've been dying to share.  I will be showing the Dollparts Spring 2012 collection during Chicago's fashion week, Fashion Focus on October 20th.

Fashion Focus takes place in Millennium Park from October 17 - 23.  The four headlining shows include CFI presented by Macy's, Inspiredesign presented by Mario Tricoci and vitaminwater, Vert Couture presented by Conscious Planet Media and The Art of Fashion presented by Style Chicago.  I will be showing in the Vert Couture show which will be showcasing sustainable designers.  To purchase tickets, please visit VertCouture.com.

I of course can't give away too much, but wanted to give you a teeny tiny peek at some designs...

Hello all!

Hope you are having a wonderful summer so far!  I apologize if this note is repetitive, but I wanted to introduce my Disco Picnic Collection to all my lovely backers.  This collection was presented at Chez Mignon: A House of Pretty Things Fashion Show in April and is now up for sale on my shop.  To view the photo album, please click here.  Or to view more photos, take a look on the Dollparts Shop!

Thanks again for all your support!

Update #12: Spring 2011 Collection Launch!!

Posted on March 31, 2011

Hello all!!

I have been designing, patternmaking, and sewing since I reached my goal in October and will proudly launch my Dollparts Spring 2011 collection this Friday at Chez Mignon: A House of Pretty Things.

I was inspired by springtime, butterflies, wings and the 70s.  Bright colors, florals and elements of disco are included.  My line, along with Yellow Birdd Vintage, Alidade, Dethrose Vintage, Nonnie Johns and Caroline Borucki will walk the runway at 7:30 pm to Sewing Pattern's original jams at Elastic Arts Foundation in Logan Square.

Also enjoy photos by Shannon Driscoll, Rebecca Lyon, Finley J., AlderEgoBodywallet and Carmen Onida and live music by  Deep Deep Diver.

Hope to see you there!!

I also plan to get some vintage menswear and fabric/notions up for sale on my shop (http://dollpartsdesign.myshopify.com/) within the next month or two. Keep your eyes peeled...
