DANCE OF LIBERATION is a unique form of movement therapy that restores and frees physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blockage. Applying dance, contemporary shamanism, body-penetrating drumbeats and global music, this powerful & beautiful soul work sheds inhibitions in a safe and carefully monitored group setting. Dancers are blindfolded in the shamanic tradition, which gives them the freedom to step outside of their conscious fears & limitations. The freeing power of blindfolds allows the DOL participants to tap into their innermost visions, empowering their creative sides to break free. Ultimately, dancers tune-in to sound & movement, a trance-like state of self-discovery & realization. You decide where this dance journey will take you!
DOL'S MISSION is to offer alternatives for people who want to achieve a liberating sense of wholeness and joy through the fluid integration of body, mind and spirit. Recently, one of the things we have created to reach even more people is the production of a dance-contagious documentary.

ABOUT THE FILM
The DOL documentary is more than just a film about a movement therapy. While it explains the technique behind it. Also, it shares with you how to connect to your pathway of purpose. You can literally rewrite your own story by learning how to see with your heart instead of with your eyes. DOL is about achieving optimum health robustness and happiness. You will experience my personal story of transformational power. Like me, you will discover wonderful lessons from the leading wisdom masters, yoga innovators & celebrity practitioners, among them Russell Simmons. What is even better about the movie, is that you will learn how to become your own teacher and healer and specifically how to set & manifest your intentions while nourishing your lifestyle. Having worked with over 10,000 dancers I can assure you that DOL is a practice of fulfillment.
WHO IS IN THE FILM
Beyond the actual technique, DOL is a movement of self discovery and growth with different elements brought in to apply to different people's need. For this Parashakti learns from and collaborate with other renowned experts in the industry. From Debbie Ford and John Perkins to Alex Grey; from Emilie Conrad to Dr. Joe Dispenza; Shiva Rea to Sharon Gannon & David Life, Russell Simmons, Krishna Das and Native American Shaman Wakia are just some of the leaders and masters who are featured in the film. INSIGHT ABOUT PARASHAKTI
"Never speak the fear, only the intent..." - Parashakti
This life-long dance journey began when I was a happy little girl free to let my heart lead my dance while growing up in Israel. And yes! I was a dancer until someone broke my heart telling me that I wasn't going to be able to dance again just because I suffered an injury while serving in the Israeli army. Decoyed I left Israel and searched for answers. Fortunately, I found healing in yoga and shamanism.
However, my burning desire to dance kept calling me. My heart, stubborn and unwilling to let me give up my biggest passion, took me in a journey to wonderful, sacred places like Arizona, Peru, Bali, Greece and even back to Israel to quest within unexplored areas. I learned, learned and learned specially from Native American elders about how to co-create a self-reflective body, mind and spirit. Ultimately, I got to reconnect to my passion and purpose in life. And here I am, not only dancing again but opening possibilities for others to find their own dance...
WHY KICKSTARTER?
It looks like the film is done, right? Well, in one sense it is, we have finished shooting, but there is one more vital step that we have to complete – BRINGING THE FILM TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. And Kickstarter seems like a perfect fit to raise the funds for this type of project.

$88,000 IS THE MINIMUM we need to distribute the Dance of Liberation film. The more funds we raise, the further the reach of the screenings. Also, it is important to know that if we don't reach the full amount of $88,000 within the 30 days, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN as Kickstarter will return all pledged money to the backers and NOTHING, NONE, ZERO will go to DOL. Quite frankly, to do what we're hoping to do and expand the brand as a whole, we need a fairly sizable amount of money to pull it off - and that's not something we have at our disposal! So we need all the possible help you can give us.

I DON'T DANCE! WHAT'S IN THE FILM FOR ME?
One curious thing about the DOL is that a great number of participants are not dancers, yogis, or even fully committed health nuts at all! This is what makes this movement so incredibly accessible. If you or someone you love, have a heart that beats, a body that moves and an intention in the mind to manifest something beyond what life presents, take your chance or just gift your friend to a DOL experience. At the minimum we know that the DOL wisdom will give you tools to get inspired and tap into your creativity.

FAQ's
What exactly will the money be spent on?
This Kickstarter campaign is to raise the minimum necessary funds for DISTRIBUTION. Which is what will allows us to get the film out to all of the people who want to see it, across the U.S. and abroad. At this moment, we have interest from a distribution company but they are requiring a few changes to fine tune the film to make it the best it can be, along with promotional materials, master tapes, audio and of course, juice to market our film. Essentially, we need to enhance our sound so you can hear the words of wisdom clearly, correct some color on the film to make it look as beautiful as life itself, pay our editor who’s given so much of his time we could never really repay him, continue our campaign to share the DOL across the globe, cover film festival submission fees and all the little expenses that are necessary for us to get this story of healing and transformation out to the world.

Can contributors increase pledges once they have been made?
Absolutely! If you have already contributed, and are signed in to your account, then instead of a green “Back This Project” button on our page, there should be a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click that, and you can enter a new amount or choose a new incentive.
You can give the incentives as a gift!
Gifting an incentive is a wonderful idea! After the campaign, when we message you for details on your incentives, you can then give us the information about the person you wish to gift.
When will I be able to see the film in a theater?
We are counting on having a successful Kickstarter campaign! So we are planning on a Summer 2012 release to limited theaters, and Fall 2012 for retail DVDs, video on demand, iTunes, Amazon, etc.
