MOOOOO!!!!

We created this game because we are gamers with children. Looking around we find very limited options when it comes to good tactical board games that parents and their kids can play together,  and be on equal footing.  The name and theme were actually inspired by our son Octavian.  The first animal sound he ever learned was that dinosaurs roar, and so as far as he is concerned every animal sound should be a roar.  We were driving past a farm and he began frantically pointing at the cows in the field moo-roaring as loud as he could and we absolutely cracked up and responded that yes those were some monster moos he was making.  That led to a discussion about monsters who were cows and that became the final piece of the puzzle we had been trying to solve for months.

Monster Moos! is designed to be accessible to adults and kids and quick to play.  The game supports for 2-6 players, ages 6+ and is meant to last from 30-60 minutes with minimal set up time.  Monster Moos! was developed to help bridge the gap between adult hobby games and kid's games, but Monster Moos! is a fun game for everyone no matter your board game experience level.

In Monster Moos! players take on the role of inter-dimensional cowboys riding the range in a limbo plane called "The Field".  The Field is populated by monstrous cows (called Moos) that have escaped from their home dimensions.  Your goal is to try to wrangle as many Dragon Moos, Ghost Moos, Cyborg Moos, and/or Zombie Moos as you can before the other cowboys.  You can go for quantity and get a larger herd, 25 Moos to be precise, or quality, and get a pedigree 15 Moo herd of all the same type of Moo.

Our goal with Monster Moos!

As we said our goal was to create a family friendly fun party game and our out-of-house testing indicates we have succeeded.  What we need now is funding to take our game from the prototype to a full-scale ready-to-hit-the-shelves product.  Our artist has worked hard to interpret our childish scrawls into masterpieces of design!  As the kickstarter continues we will slowly release teasers of the final art in the released game.  

Now with a little help from you this awesome game will go from our table to yours by August 2013.

Here's the wooden box available in the Desperado tiers, and all tiers above. Made by a local craftsman out of poplar. One of these lovelies could be yours! This box can hold all the components for Monster Moos as well as be a visual centerpiece for your love of board games.

First off, we vetted numerous production companies, and because we aren't able to make the trips to the production facilities it was very important for us to be able to get a company to oversee quality control. We're getting the game at a great price from them, but they have a minimum requirement in how many we have to order. Tooling is required to set up the machines to produce our game, testing is the cost to ensure the manufactured product is safe and follows the required laws for retail here in America, and production is the cost of the actual units at their minimum quantity.

In addition to production, there is also the shipping from the factories to our warehouse which is relatively expensive as well. There are also Kickstarter and Amazon fees. Our company goal is to keep the cost of games down and to reward those who support us. The game will retail for $30, but all Kickstarter backers will get it for $25 which is going to include shipping of course to the US and Canada.
