Update #9: Noteworthy project - {Please Read}
Hello everyone,
I thought I would bring to your attention a project on Kickstarter that is now in it's final hours...
I normally would not do this, however I feel that this project would likely be of interest to anyone that has an interest in DMT, Dance, Social Change and Unity.
Ashley Fargnoli (co-filmmaker of DMT) launched and EMERGENCY Kickstarter campaign when she learned that the funding for her very important Balkan project that she thought was secure... fell through.
All she is asking for is enough money for transport, feed and house the 30 Dancers who are participating. They come from Belgrade, Sarajevo and Mostar and will be dancing together for the first time after months of video / dance collaboration.
As of now there is just 60 hours left and only $1,400 to go.

Update #8: It has been too long...
Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the long pause since our last update.
Lots has been going on behind the scenes here... I (Shawn) went to Seoul, S. Korea in the name of DMT to present the film to 500 producers, sales agents and networks at the 2011 Asian Side of the Doc festival.
DMT was one of 24 projects selected (out of hundreds and hundreds of great projects that submitted) to pitch to these important decision makers. Most all the other selected projects were heavily backed by some big institutions (Sundance, PBS, ARTE (France and Germany) ect...
As such we were pretty serious "Underdogs". Despite that I am proud to say that we held our own! DMT was very very well received and generated quite a bit of interest from some very important people.
The reality is that most of the interest that was generated was in for "once the film is completed" so for now not too much has changed. We are still looking for a larger partner and we are still trying to figure out how I can dedicate a few solid months solely editing and refining the film.
However the trip was really incredibly successful, all the praise, and interest in DMT will pay off once the film is in a rough edit (nearing completion) state and now with all these new contacts we should have no problem getting the film seen once done.
We did edit another trailer for the conference and we wanted to share that with you today. We also wanted to let you know that you generous contributions have paid for the vast majority of the translations that are now done, and made the trip to Seoul possible.
We have also started the "soundtrack" (which you can get a taste for in the Trailer). And Developed a great relationship with an Audio technician who did the sound for the trailer as well so things are falling into place. And that feels nice.
