Hi everyone!

I know it's been weeks since the last update, and I sincerely apologize for that. However, work has not stopped and I definitely have stuff to share with you all. I'm currently authoring and taking pictures for a HUUUGE update that I'm going to try my hardest to get up by the end of the week... but I simply couldn't wait any longer, I had to share.

I've received the first set of production samples from the manufacturer for evaluation... I'll have a lot more photos and info on both the manufacturer and the samples, but for now here's a few images to tide you over.

The one on the left has been polished, while the one on the right has been sandblasted and anodized. While the left one was very shiny and nearly flawless when I received it, it quickly began to pick up scratches and show them as me and my friends held and played with them.

The sandblasted version is nearly identical to the finish on the Macbook pro and helps to prevent both scratches and fingerprints. On top of all this, the polished finish is significantly more expensive. With these things in mind, I believe the anodized finish is without a doubt the best and most attractive option and I am currently planning on using this finish on all further samples.

I will be posting the next update once I receive the rest of the prototype parts later this week, hopefully with some parts of the fully assembled units! It'll also cover revised timelines and tons of information about the chemistry, the manufacturer, and more!

Looking towards the future, I'll be releasing a steady stream of renderings throughout the month for all backers to download. If you'd like to use these as desktop backgrounds, feel free to suggest some native resolutions for me to scale these to.

Currently we're in the middle of testing and further developing our chemistry for the container. This is one of the most critical parts of the product, and it's important that we get it right before we go to production. Expect updates soon with some pictures and info on this phase.
