During hard economic times a young veteran struggles to provide for his splintered family in a world of illegal opportunity.
This Is Based On A True Story!
The film is about a man who went to the depths of crime to support his family and has risen to become a college graduate with a book and art pieces that have graced the National Veterans Art Museum. Art prints that are available here as a reward!
Jacob has just returned from his second tour in Iraq. He is barely able to handle his own world, but must support his young family. Unable to find work and all of his credit extended, he receives a job offer he can't refuse. Although fleeing a drug problem himself, he begins selling marijuana. Soon he is selling 40 lbs. a week As the pressure mounts on Jacob, even his success burdens him. He finds his new work stressful with a constant possibility of being caught. When someone threatens his family he is forced to make a decision from which there is no return. A choice that will define him as a man.
We Need Your Help To Make This Film Happen!
Because even though our school provides some of the equipment, we still need money for rental equipment, set construction and props, food and transportation for the crew and actors, and permit fees. Anything left over will go to film festival submission fees, which will allow us an great opportunity as filmmakers to succeed.
And even if you're broke like us you can still help. Share this video on your facebook, your twitter or your blog and send the screenshot to our email and we will put a special thanks on the DVD so everyone will know you took part. Let's make this film happen. It can only be done with your help.
Just Some of the Awesome Stuff You'll Receive.
An Amazing Piece of Combat Paper Artwork created and signed by the films real life subject. Combat Paper is created by turning uniforms worn by veterans into pulp and then using that material for art that heals their souls.
You can receive two chapters of the subjects book:
"None of it became real until I had been sifting through the remains on hand and knee for a few hours, separating military equipment from personal effects and remains. When someone asked whether an m-9 pistol melted to a commander's coin went into the personal effects pile or the military equipment, the mission began to settle on my mind. It was in my clothes, my hair, my nose and mouth. It was more than equipment and I tasted it. I breathed it in; fiberglass, magnesium, depleted uranium, human remains, death."
