I was recently contacted about my address to send the DVD for backing this project. I appreciate the offer but would prefer the money spent be used to publisize the project. Thanks for asking

Correction: the link provided by Kickstarter takes me to a "404" page. Amazon provided no such link.

      Thanks.

      Hello,

When I made my pledge some weeks back I used a "virtual" credit card which, as I later found out, didn't work because it's time-sensitive. So I received notification from both Kickstarter and Amazon that my payment had failed. Using the link provided by Amazon to resubmit my payment I am taken to a "404" page and so cannot resubmit my pledge.

      Help!

      Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I'm using the Opera browser (latest release 10.10) and, instead of a colored secure token in the address bar, I see a silver one with a question mark on it. When I click that, it displays a dialog that says:

"The connection to authorize.payments.amazon.com is not secure. Do not use it to submit sensitive information.

The server attempted to apply security measures, but failed."

I tried it with Safari and Safari's got nothing to complain about. Using Safari instead ...

Time to submit a bug report with Opera, I guess.

      Thanks for your help!

We asked KickStarter about this, here is the response, Amazon is definitely encrypted and your credit card information is protected. If you let us know the browser you were using, we will ask KickStarter about that...

      Hi there --

Not sure what browser this person is using, but the Amazon login page is definitely encrypted. I can look into it further if you'd like -- I'd just need to know the type of browser and what the exact text of the message is that they're receiving. Let me know!

      All the best,
      Cassie

I'd like to help out, but the Kickstarter site requires that I create an account by sending the password plain-text and unencrypted. I accepted this, but then ended up at an Amazon page that my browser told me was using insufficient encryption. I'm sorry, but I can't give out my credit-card information with those kind of conditions.
