I forgot to mention that I had to cut apart two cow cubes that may have been painted together. Not a big deal. I haven't tried the inspansion/badlands yet - probably tonight.
Creator Carey Willis on March 11
Came back to work from lunch to see it had been delivered!! - Alberta, Canada
The box is smaller than I had expected, but PACKED with stuff. Love it. Can't wait to play!
Creator Tom B. on March 9
My copy was waiting for me when I got home from 2 weeks on the road. Looks good overall, but the corn is definitely a bit on the greenish side. Now I just need to figure out when I can get someone to play.
Creator Oi-Lionheart on March 9
Got my copy, I live in France! Great quality! First game this week-end! ;)
Creator Paul on March 8
And what should I find waiting for me after work, but Heartland Hauling Co! :) Alberta, Canada.
@DHMG My corn cubes are also a light lime green like a few others have mentioned. Not a concern for me, but something you may wish to track with your supplier in the future.
Creator Paul on March 8
A Canadian sighting is a good sign :)
Creator Jonathan "Wildhorn" Maisonneuve on March 7
Got my copy yesterday (Quebec, Canada).
Creator Kevin Kortekaas on March 6
My wife let me know it's sitting on the kitchen table, I look forward to tearing into it tonight.
Creator Jeff Qualey on March 6
Got mine yesterday and played last night. It was easily taught and generally well received. I think some of them wanted a harder, more strategic game. However, it is fantastic as the light game that it is - lighter than Auf Achse and far, far better than Mille Bornes. The box is nice and compact and barely fits all the materials.
Creator David Larson on March 5
Woo hoo! Just now received my copy in Hong Kong. I just planned my weekend. =] Thanks, Dice Hate Me Games.
Creator Jonathan C. Strange on March 5
Played around with it for the first time last night. Overall, I am impressed. Simple mechanics, well designed and constructed. Fantastic game guys. Even my non-gamer girlfriend enjoys it. I'll be toting mine around at Pax-East.

Great Heartland Hauling Co. has arrived in the mail today. I'll open and leave first impressions later.
Creator Evan on February 24
I contacted the creator of this game earlier in the year when I was backing a Kickstarter sleeve project. I was told by Cherilyn & Chris that:
"TGHHC will have standard American poker-size cards - roughly 63mm X 88mm. This size is one of the most common sleeve sizes.
As for quantity, Heartland will have 107 cards - a few of which are reference/variant cards that you may not feel the need to sleeve (but feel free to!)."
Creator Martín Gastón Borda on February 22
You're right, Paul.
We would like to know:
1) how many cards are there (with all the expansions and everything) and
2) the size of the cards,
so that we the "sleevers" can buy sleeves :)
Thanks.
Creator Paul on February 22
Did they ever specify the size of the cards?
Creator Martín Gastón Borda on February 22
could you please tell us how many cards are included in the final game? So that I can buy the sleeves for them... Thanks!
Creator Dice Hate Me Games on February 9
Paul - Indeed! And be sure to check out the latest update for more information on shipping. :)
Creator Paul on February 9
Yay surveys are going out! This means you're shipping soon, yes?
Creator Dice Hate Me Games on December 15, 2012
Bob - Your $25 pledge covered the game, domestic shipping, and the Badlands expansion - which will not be available for retail sale for the foreseeable future. With the pre-order, you'll still have to have pay shipping on top of that $20 through Game Salute and you do not get the 5th player expansion. You also get the game before those who pre-ordered.
Creator Bob Schrempp on December 14, 2012
To Tom
I have know many truckers to use HAM radios, In the 70's and 80's when everyone and his brother was getting a CD radio, many truckers moved over to HAM radios. Truck stops would put up repeaters just for the truckers. They would NOT publish the frequencies or access codes keeping the common person off of them.
Creator Bob Schrempp on December 14, 2012
I was just looking at the Game Salute web page and you can pre order the Great Heartland Hauling Company for $20, the KickStarter was $25, I could have saved $5 by not backing. What am I missing, what are backers getting extra that is not offered at the $20 pre-order?

Creator Dice Hate Me Games on October 6, 2012
Tom - thanks for the comment! We debated the Ham Radio for awhile, but what we wanted to emulate was communications across a greater distance which Citizens Band can't provide. Each Location card is meant to simulate spots that are fairly far apart, and the CB just wouldn't do the trick. So we thought it would be fun to harken back to a time when the ol' Ham was much more widespread. :)
Creator Tom Smith on October 6, 2012
The alternate route cards look cool...one comment though. While almost all truckers use CB radio, I've never known a trucker to have and use a Ham radio (which is slang for a amateur radio...a much different thing), Looking forward to the final product...
Creator Jonathan "Wildhorn" Maisonneuve on October 5, 2012
Last update was a month ago... how the game production is going?
Creator Jeff Qualey on September 12, 2012
Congrats! I'm anxious for January.
Creator Will Rice on September 10, 2012
Never mind, answered below. I'm blind apparently...
Creator Will Rice on September 10, 2012
Just curious, if we are at the full trailer level, will we get vivajava/carnival at an earlier date than January since they are already out? Or will it all come in one shipment?
Creator Diazaburo on September 8, 2012
NICE! Congratulations!
Its a shame that you cant get the expansion for carnival anymore. I bought it after the kickstarter and was not able to get my hands on the slideshow expansion. I noticed once my friends/family and I found out that there was an expansion with cool wild cards the normal game became boring. Now, no one wants to play until I get my hands on the expansion. So the game sits on the shelf collecting dust. I know you " promised" your backers that it was only for them, but seems unfair and makes the game incomplete now. I would gladly pay for the expansion as well if it was available for purchase or it had been a pledge option for this game. =/
Im glad this game didn't have Backer only extras =) Can't wait!
Creator Mercedes (Mandy) on September 7, 2012
Congratulations!!! I look forward to another awesome game. I'm still loving Carnival, it was one of my favs this year.
