About this project
An 8-page, full color, "funnies"-style newspaper section of color comics by me me meeee!
I'll have 1000 copies of this printed by a local company, doing all the layout and grunt work (and of course, the comics) myself. By getting you, Kind Sirs and Madams, to help me pay for it, I can sell these at conventions and through my website for just a dollar a pop, giving people an easy cheap entry into some full-color homemade comics. Not to mention be able to send copies to stores across the country--at a buck a pop I'll hardly get rich, but the exposure would be KEY at this point in my still-nascent comics career. Don't you want to say you helped that dude out "back when"? I know that you do. And I appreciate it!
PLEASE NOTE: I will begin mailing rewards after May 15, but because of my work with HeroesCon, it is likely that it might be July 1 before I complete mailing everything. Please contact me if you need your reward prioritized (like say if it's a time-sensitive gift, or if you're worried about The End Times, etc.)

The "GENEROUS DILETTANTE" will receive a copy of the newspaper, a copy of my color NUTTED minicomic (featuring people getting kicked in the OMG) complete with a quick sketch, mailed to them postage paid. If you're going to see me somewhere, I'll be happy to just hand it to you and give you a hug for saving me the postal cost.

The "SPECIAL AGENT ARTSY-PANTS" will get a copy of the newspaper and a nice sketch on a 5.5" x 4.25" inch piece of cream cardstock. I know that sounds tiny, but I draw small anyway; it will look great JUST YOU TRUST ME. Cost includes postage unless you want me to just hand it to you somewhere (with a hug, no extra cost).

The "AGGRESSIVE DEVOTEE" will get the newspaper, the small cardstock sketch, AND one of my diary comics originals (does not include strips dated before March 17). You can contact me directly if you have a preference, or I'll surprise you! Based on availability of course.

The "HOW DO I LOVE THEE?" reward level comes with a copy of the newspaper AND one piece of original art from my "regular" (non-diary) strips. The selection is somewhat limited and is hard to go into in this description. Contact me if you have a preference and we'll take it from there!

The "PHILANTHROPIC INDUSTRIALIST" will get a handmade (by me) advertisement that will run in the newspaper itself! Sized at approximately 1/4 of a page (give or take based on final design) and consisting largely of handmade fancy lettering. This level comes with 25 free copies of the newspaper as well, which you can give to all your philanthropic industrialist friends to point out to them how important you are, and especially how much MORE important you are than them. You can give me a teeny bit of direction on this, but I bet it'll look a lot better if I just go willy-nilly my own way, you know? Just saying. UPDATE: you are welcome to use the ad wherever else you like, no extra charge!

Dustin Harbin is the creator of the webcomic DHARBIN!, serialized Monday-Friday on his site, http://www.dharbin.com While he's worked in comics for nearly 15 years at the renowned comics shop Heroes Aren't Hard To Find, and as one of the organizers of the yearly Heroes Convention, he only in the last few years has been making his own comics. And boy, are they ever something.
