About this project

My name is David Greelish, computer historian. I once published a "zine" (newsletter / magazine) from 1993 to 1997 called Historically Brewed. It grew to a small, but very respectful 500+ subscribers and was even sold at the Smithsonian and the Computer History Museum in Boston, MA (now in Mountain View, CA). I published nine issues, with a tenth never completed (changing the name to "Classic Computing"). I want to take all of these and publish them into a compilation book, to also include my story within the first fifteen pages or so. Also a basic collector's guide reference. The history and stories of the zines don't age, and the other content from readers and contributors of the time have become interesting history in themselves.

The book will be about 195 pages with a full color cover and color inserts, plus the entire run of issues will be reproduced accurately (some two-color covers).

Please have a look at the entire issue one of Historically Brewed, plus the other issue covers - http://www.classiccomputing.com/hb.html
