Deron Miller is coming back in 2013 with a brand new solo album. Help support the making of the record and a documentary to go with it!

HELP FUND DERON MILLER'S BRAND NEW SOLO ALBUM

Deron Miller is returning next year with a solo album of brand new material and we need your help. This year Deron has been busy writing songs for his new album, and now he is finally ready to get in the studio and record them.

In addition to this Phil Bowman, a freelance filmmaker from the UK, who has previously shot several short films and videos with Deron, will be there to capture the whole process. For the first time fans will get the opportunity to look behind the curtain and see what is involved in making a Deron Miller record.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

In order to record the album, film the documentary, design all of the artwork for the individual packages, and ship everything out to everyone we are looking for $35,000.

THE REWARDS

We have some pretty exciting rewards for our backers. Here is a breakdown of what we have on offer.

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD - Get the album in MP3 format at 320/kbps.

T-SHIRT - High quality shirts featuring artwork from the album. Remember to put what size t-shirt you want in the notes when you donate!

STANDARD EDITION CD - This is the off-the-shelf edition that will eventually be available to the public.

2 DISC CD/DVD EDITION - This copy has the album packaged together with the documentary on DVD in 2-disc package. Expect the documentary to be accompanied by a few fun special features.

THE VINYL - For audiophiles who love their music at 33.3 revolutions per minute and their artwork big, then this is the option for you.

BONUS CD OF ACOUSTIC TRACKS - This CD will feature acoustic versions of songs spanning Deron's career. The track-list for this will be announced in early 2013.

HANDMADE CDs - For this item Deron is going old school and will be making bespoke CDs featuring demos, unheard tracks and outtakes spanning his career.

STUDIO MEMORABILIA - Deron will be collecting lyric sheets, plectrums, drum sticks, guitar strings, photos and lots of other stuff used in the making of this record and will be putting it all up for grabs for our backers.

ALBUM CREDIT - Kickstarter backers who pledge at a certain level will get a credit in the albums liner notes.

VIP LAUNCH PARTY INVITATION - Deron will be hosting a listening party celebrating the launch of his new album at one of his favorite LA Clubs next year and you can have the opportunity to come and hang and hang out at the exclusive event.

A DAY IN THE STUDIO - Whether just a fan wanting to soak up the studio atmosphere or someone keen to learn more about music production, this reward will provide an exciting opportunity for you to spend a day at the studio seeing the work involved in creating the album.

PRIVATE ACOUSTIC SHOW - Deron will be hitting the road and playing your local venue, bar or even living room. This may be a good option for a group of fans who live close to each other and want to club together to pay for this reward. Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

The potential risks associated with delivering this project on time can be divided into two categories: Creative and Logistics

Creative: Deron who is serving as producer on the album has scheduled an amount of time to record the album and has budgeted to cover this. However, should the recording costs increase due to creative issues these additional costs will be covered by Deron and I (Phil Bowman).

Logistics: One of the challenges will be co-coordinating the production of all the deliverables for the release of the album. This includes manufacturing CDs, post-production work on the documentary, getting T-Shirts printed etc. Deron's 15+ years of experience in the music industry have provided him with strong connections and insight with regards to merchandise that will mean that we only work with suppliers and manufacturers who have a good reputation for delivering to a high standard on time. Additionally, as I (Phil) work in the post-production industry I have a number of years experience in taking a film through post-production from initial editing to final mixing, grading and supplying of final deliverables.
