About this project
We can't tell you how excited we are about this new project because we want it to be jam-packed with a lot of great stuff! We want to have a a full-length CD complete with brand new songs, classic songs re-recorded with some of Austin's best musicians sharing their talents with us, a music video, and ANOTHER video of the recording process behind the scenes with footage of the guest players and band members recording their parts. It's gonna be awesome!
Being an independent band for over 10 years, we have had to fund everything ourselves. We do not have the financial backing of a major label to help get the music of Del Castillo out to the masses. This is more than we've ever tried to undertake in one sitting, and to top it off, this will be our first combined US and INTERNATIONAL release! Every dollar will go towards paying for the filming/production of the videos, manufacturing the CDs for U.S. release AND international release (which means a LOT of CDs), distribution, PR and social media marketing, radio promotion, and studio production. And if by some miracle, there's anything left over, we can use it for touring expenses.

Great art from all periods reflects the collective mood of that time period on many levels. Times are changing and America is changing. We are certainly living in a New America; a place where the mood and the spirit of the people is guiding us through crisis and revival. It is a spirit that beckons the audience to step outside of the old formula and join the new movement. DEL CASTILLO's sound is a result of each member being possessed by a boundless, creative spirit and allowing it to guide them on an amazing musical journey.
