Peace to all. I, as you hopefully already know, am DeFakto, long time emcee / hiphop artist from VA. I was born with a love and passion for music as a fan and eventually as an artist and I have worked very hard to stay fully immersed in what I love. After completing / releasing at least one project every year since 2006, I am trying something new with hopes to increase the visibility and attention for my new solo album The Segment. The project is a fun, but thought-provoking, non-explicit / curse-free collection of fresh music that can be enjoyed and appreciated by any and all. It'll be my last project in hard copy form and will include a DVD (granted, it will also be available digitally).
In order to make the biggest splash possible, I am hoping you current and potential listeners and fans will wield your power by making a donation towards a successful launch. With the current climate of music, sales and downloading, this will assist me in continuing to operate professionally as I always have and leverage the album as much as possible for the greater good of the culture, the music, myself and you. While this is not a pre-order situation, I truly believe that this project can make some impact and you, sharing that belief, will contribute to it. Thank you.
