Update #6: more indie than 3-D....

Posted on March 7, 2010

..for the record, I'm pulling for "Hurt Locker" tonight... Bigelow's been kicking ass for twenty-five years now, shot in super-16mm, and the film is edge-of-your-seat great. Rent it on DVD, watch the opening 10 minutes, and see if you don't agree... We saw it last year at SXSW at the Paramount, with the occasional circling bat providing comic relief.

3-D is a blast, but so is indie spirit...

Good luck KB

Update #5: Big Thanks!

Posted on March 5, 2010

Thanks Tom and Anne, and big thanks to new backer Larry Gevirtz! We're over halfway there and 10 days to go!

Update #4: Thanks New Backers!

Thanks John, Mary, Anne & This Thing! It's been a good week!

Update #3: "Sea Monster" film titles are Finalists in SXSW Title Design Competition!

Posted on March 1, 2010

Our title sequence for the "Sea Monster" film, that was the basis for the "Sea Monster" web series, is a Finalist in SXSW Film Festival's Title Design competition!

Pretty heady company-- we're up against 18 other title sequences, mostly for pretty big films: "Up in the Air" with George Clooney, Spike Jonze's "Where The Wild Things Are", and Francis Ford Coppola's "Tetro". It will screen Monday night March 15 in Austin with the other finalists.
You can see the list here
http://sxsw.com/film/film_awards/design_awards

and our title sequence here
http://www.vimeo.com/8129624

That beautiful music is some great work by good friend Don Piper, you can find him on itunes at
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/inside-a-change/id319130390

Interesting side note: there is only one other title sequence where the director was also the title designer- Gaspar Noe's "Enter the Void" titles.

Wish us luck! And tell your friends about Sea Monster! There's less than two weeks left to get to $5,000!

thanks to everyone for all the support--
